Prospective Students

Financial Aid

The School of Visual Arts offers a variety of scholarship
opportunities for qualified majors.  At the end of Fall semester, first year students may apply for a VTArts Scholarship as they present their work in a mandatory Portfolio Review for admission into the Studio and the Visual Communication Design majors.

Every Spring semester, the Scholarship Committee encourages
applications for a range of endowed scholarships available to all
established majors in the School. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, though financial need is a consideration as well.

Prospective and current art majors who need further information about scholarships and financial aid should visit www.finaid.vt.edu, or call the University's Financial Aid Office for assistance.

Financial Aid is available through SOVA scholarships and the Virginia Tech Arts Scholarship program. For more information, please contact the Janet Niewald for details:  540-231-5547 or jniewald@vt.edu.
