Joy Rosenthal received her MFA in Photography at Pratt Institute, School of Art and Design located in Brooklyn, New York. There she specialized in black and white photograph emphasizing darkroom printing and chemical manipulations called Chromoskedasic. Joy work is in many private collections in Europe and North America. She has had solo and group shows and collaborated with the DARC group for the Taubman Museum opening in 2007 in Roanoke, Virginia and participated in Singing Darwin at Virginia Tech in 2010.


Joys recent interest is investigating the many possibilities in photography. At the moment her primary medium is digital photography focusing on the genre of landscapes. Also she is exploring virtual formats to display and interact with her photographic work. She teaches an online digital photography course in a virtual reality platform.
